Sri A. Ananthapadmanabhan, of AIR station, Thrissur, one of the topmost internationally well known Veena artists has his own innovations in vibrating, stretching and minimum plucking methods. This produces superior rich harmonics, gamakas, tonal qualities, continuities and is more closer to human voice. This unique style is capturing and satisfying all types of audience, orthodox musicians to the present youngsters. He also blends judiciously Hindustani music and sometimes Western music techniques also. However, these techniques are quite complicated to learn & very few have taken the challenge of mastering it. He got the “GANAKALA THILAKA” award from the Govt. of Goa, He has demonstrated, veena recitals & fusion musics in western and eastern styles at UNESCO, Paris and at many western & middle east countries.
